Jade Bird – Lottery

“Lottery” follows the 2017 release of Bird’s debut EP, Something American — an aptly titled release, as Bird’s material often finds its way into the Americana vein of music popularized across the pond, with Loretta Lynn one of her many obvious touchstones. Bird says “Lottery” was produced with the same group (Simone Felice and David Baron) that helmed Something American and that she’s soon looking to “release an album, which I’ve got a concept for,” in the near future.

The song, which received early airplay on multiple Triple A radio stations in the United States upon its Jan. 11 release, led by Sirius XM Radio’s The Spectrum station. It’s not Bird’s first foray onto American radio; Something American‘s “Cathedral” also received some airplay across the U.S. Appreciative of the support so far, Bird chalks her early success up in part to her material being “honest, and the common thread through it is very much being who I am: kind of a young, ballsy teenager who wants to do something a little bit differently.”

Alexander Wang X H&M

By now you’ve marked your calendars. Alexander Wang’s collection for H&M, announced back in April at Coachella, finally hits H&M stores around the world on November 6. Rihanna—who else?—stepped out in the first two pieces from the collab over the weekend: a stretchy crop top and leggings emblazoned with Wang’s blocky logo. Today, we’ve got three more looks to show you. As the pics of RiRi suggested, Wang is bringing a distinctively sporty vibe to the table. “H&M has done a great job in the past with archive-based collaborations,” the designer said, “but I wanted to create a collection where most of the pieces have been designed from scratch. There are only a couple of items that are updates from past designs. Rather than creating affordable versions of expensive items, I wanted to design true performance pieces that are within the natural price points of sportswear of H&M, so we were able to create the best version of these pieces, through our vocabulary.” In addition to apparel for both women and men, the collection includes shoes and bags, as well as “Objects,” a selection of everyday items that H&M says are “reflective of the Alexander Wang lifestyle, infused with a sense of humor and irony.” Only eight weeks to go until the big day.

Mario Sorrenti

Cara Delevingne has been popping up all over the Autumn Winter campaign trail, from striking a pose for Mulberry to working her legendary brows for Chanel – and now she’s got yet another ad under belt.

Yes, here is Cara working her magic for Pepe Jeans London’s new campaign, fittingly named ‘Made For Mischief’. Cara, known for her brilliantly mischievous ways, has fronted the brand for campaigns gone by but this time, she’s teamed up with Claude Simonon and Paolo Anchisi.

According to our Pepe Jeans pals, the campaign is all about individual style and ‘the beauty of being natural’, which certainly sounds like our Cara. Photographed by Mario Sorrenti, the shots see the model crew generally being young, free-spirited and having loads of fun. They climb over walls, squirt each other with hoses and umm, lay about in a bath tub. Looks like a hoot to us!
