Populace

We are proud to announce that Populace has been officially selected for the Sci-Fi-London film festival. Stay tuned for more information.

Mankind is reluctant to take responsibility for ravaging the planet. Populace imagines a world where the solution is to impose a strict genetic caste system, a eugenics policy that keeps numbers below the tipping point and protects the greater good. Clones are manufactured to carry out this work. Must we give away our freedoms to protect the earth from mankind?

Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer Now, the charity born of a merger between Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer, announces its ambition to stop women dying of the disease by 2050 in its first ad campaign.

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R created the spot, which breaks today (15 June) on Channel 4. The ad features women who are fighting breast cancer talking about how they won’t be the last person to lose a breast to the disease, undergo endless tests or be forced to tell their children what’s happening to them. At the end, one woman says that she won’t be the last person to die of breast cancer before adding that, one day, “there will be a last one”. The work will run until October.

Diztortion Press Pic 2015 Main edit
London-based production prodigy Diztortion announces his new single ‘Put Your Love On Me’ featuring Sasha Keable & Stylo-G. ‘Put Your Love On Me’ will be released July 10th via 2-Tone Ent/Polydor Records. Currently riding high in the official chart and Radio 1 A-list with his Lethal Bizzle collaboration ‘Fester Skank’, Diztortion is currently in the studio working on original material with Stormzy, Krept & Konan and a whole host of other UK talent.

After rising to become a prominent figure in Amsterdam’s underground dance scene, Diztortion moved to UK shores just over a year ago to make grime records with the heaviest hitters in the scene. Notching up collabs with Lethal Bizzle, Stylo-G, Wiley and many other stalwarts of London’s grime scene, Diztortion began to work on original material for his solo project. With a global publishing deal and a major UK record deal now signed, tracks and live dates will be coming thick and fast as Diztortion prepares to take the UK by storm in 2015.

‘Put Your Love On Me’ is a collaboration with rising R&B vocalist Sasha Keable and the king of UK dancehall Stylo G. The track blends pop, dancehall and reggaeton to create the ultimate summer club anthem. Full of attitude and fun, the track builds on Diztortion’s signature hard-hitting drums and reggae influenced electro beats. Following a premiere with Mistajam and a write up on Complex, ‘Put Your Love On Me’ is now available to stream here.

Volvo has designed a new ultra-reflective spray paint in a bid to make road cycling safer.

The Swedish car manufacturer collaborated with Grey London and Albedo100 to create LifePaint, a washable formula that lasts for 10 days and is completely invisible until light hits it, at which point it glows bright white.

And Volvo say they the paint is part of a new drive to improve road cycling safety.

‘Every year more than 19,000 cyclists are injured on the UK’s roads,’ Nick Connor, of Volvo UK, said in a statement.

‘At Volvo, we believe that the best way to survive a crash is not to crash, and are committed to making the roads a safer place by reducing the number of accidents.’

LifePaint can be applied to clothes, helmets, and backpacks as well as bicycles.

It is currently only available in six cycling shops in Kent and London but Volvo says that if it is a success, it may be moved internationally.
